Use the video and step-by-step drawing instructions below to learn how to draw Disney's Winnie the Pooh. A new cartoon drawing tutorial is uploaded every week, so stay tooned!

Intro: Start drawing Winnie the Pooh with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don't press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 1

Step 1: To draw Winnie the Pooh, start by sketching a small circle near the top of the page. This will be the basic shape for Winnie the Pooh's head. Under that circle and slightly to the right, draw a bigger circle. This will be the basic shape for Winnie the Pooh's body.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 2

Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines in the head circle. First draw a vertical line dividing the circle perfectly in half. Angle it slightly from the top left to the bottom right. Draw another line, but make it horizontal and closer to the top of the circle, rather than directly in the middle of the head circle. These construction lines will help you place Winnie the Pooh's features later on.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 3

Step 3: To draw guides for Pooh's arms and legs, draw a line that starts at the lower left side of the head and comes down and grazes the body circle. Draw another line going straight up from the top right side of the circle. Under the body circle, draw two vertical lines. The leg on the left will cross his body circle, but the right will not.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 4

Step 4: On the head circle, right below the horizontal construction line and in between the vertical construction line, draw an upside-down triangle to create this cartoon character's nose. Below that triangle, draw a wide U-shaped curve for his mouth. On top of Winnie the Pooh's head on either, draw two small circles for his ears.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 5

Step 5: Where Winnie the Pooh’s left arm begins, draw an upside-down U with a line connecting the open part of the U. Draw a similar shape on the other arm, only this time upside-down. These are the basic shapes for Winnie the Pooh's sleeves.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 6

Step 6: Draw in the rest of Winnie the Pooh's shirt by drawing a curved horizontal line near the top part of the body circle just below the head, and making a wide M-shape below his head.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 7

Step 7: That's it for the initial sketch of Disney's Winnie the Pooh! You have the basic Pooh shape, so now you will go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 8

Step 8: Tighten the shape of Winnie the Pooh's head and ears. Draw his ears thinner and less round at the point they meet his head. Do the same thing for his head and taper in the sides just above the horizontal construction line to give this cartoon character his cheeks.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 9

Step 9: On top of the horizontal construction line, draw two small ovals and shade them in. Draw a small straight line below each oval. These are Winnie the Pooh's eyes. Above his eyes, closer to the top of his head, draw two curves to represent his eyebrows. Draw a curve above his nose on the horizontal construction line.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 10

Step 10: Round the shape of Winnie the Pooh's nose to make it less pointy. Darken his mouth shape and give him smile lines at the ends of his mouth. Draw another, smaller curve below his mouth for his lower lip and a small curve inside of the mouth to create his tongue.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 11

Step 11: Darken the shape of his left sleeve and draw two bumps behind his neck for his folded collar. Draw in some wrinkles on the right side of his sleeve by his armpit. Darken the bottom part of Winnie the Pooh's shirt, but curve it up slightly to show more of his belly.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 12

Step 12: Finish drawing the rest of Winnie the Pooh's shirt by giving him a V-neck collar and some wrinkles below the collar. The right side of his shirt should meet the bottom with a fold. Draw a couple of lines in the middle of the shirt to represent more wrinkles and darken the outline of Winnie the Pooh's right sleeve.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 13

Step 13: Follow the guide for the left hand, making his whole arm thick and round at the end. Do the same thing for the right hand, but make this hand waving. To draw this, round the line to the right past the right side of his arm, and draw a fold underneath the curve to indicate where Winnie the Pooh's hand bends forward.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 14

Step 14: Using the guide for the leg on the left, draw in a thick leg and foot. Draw a thicker curve at the top and taper it in slightly near the bottom. Just as you created Winnie the Pooh's waving hand, draw a rounded edge coming out to the right to create his foot.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 15

Step 15: Darken in the rest of the body circle for Winnie the Pooh's belly, and make sure you don't darken the part that overlaps the leg on the left side. Draw in the right leg like you did with the left.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 16

Step 16: That's it! You now have a nice sketch of Disney's Winnie the Pooh. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look, or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Step 17

Step 17: For a more finished, inked look, carefully go over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Disney's Winnie the Pooh! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Winnie the Pooh drawing.

Draw Winnie the Pooh Final Step

Final Step: For a completely finished Winnie the Pooh drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Pooh is an easy character to color. Color his body yellow and his shirt red. The inside of his mouth is dark brown, and his tongue is pink. That's it! You now have a completed drawing of Disney's Winnie the Pooh.
