Use the video and step-by-step drawing instructions below to learn how to draw Fry from Futurama. A new cartoon drawing tutorial is uploaded every week, so stay tooned!
Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Start by drawing a big circle on the page. This will be the basic shape for the Fry’s head. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s just a guide.
Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the circle, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines so that they contour to the shape. These will be construction lines that will help you place Fry's facial features later on.
Step 3: Right below the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical construction line, draw two circles as guides for Fry's eyes. The circle on the left should overlap the circle on the right.
Step 4: Draw a small oval under the right eye as a guide for Fry's nose. Part of the oval should be inside the big main circle and the other part outside. Pay attention to the distance between the oval and the vertical construction line.
Step 5: Draw a long U-shaped arc under Fry's nose. The line for this arc starts right where the nose meets the main circle, and it ends where the vertical line meets the main circle.
