To draw this Palm Tree on and Island step by step, follow along with the video tutorial below and pause the video after each step to go at your own pace. You may find it easier to follow the step-by-step drawings below. The written step-by-step video tutorial:

Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Step 1: Draw a small circle for a coconut. Sketch lightly at first so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake.

Step 2: On top of that, draw two more small circles for more coconuts.

Step 3: Starting at the top of the coconuts, draw a long, curved, vertical line for the middle of the palm tree's first frond. To the right, draw a jagged line for the outer edge of the palm frond. Add another jagged line on the right to complete the first palm frond. Make the bottom pointy.

Step 4: Add another palm frond at the top by first drawing a line that curves to the left. Then just like before, draw two jagged lines on the sides that come to a point at the bottom to finish the shape.

Step 5: Add another palm frond at the top. This time give the first line a horizontal orientation. Give yourself enough space above and below the initial curved line to add the jagged edges.

Step 6: Draw another palm frond the same way to the right. Give it a vertical orientation. You can make the palm tree's fronds as little or as big as you want.

Step 7: To the right, draw another palm frond, but this time, curve it toward the right. At the top, draw a curved line. At the bottom, draw a jagged line so that the frond appears folded.

Step 8: To the right, draw the final frond the same way. Leave a wide enough space at the bottom for the palm tree's trunk.

Step 9: Below the coconuts, draw two long, curved vertical lines for the palm tree trunk. Make the trunk wider at the bottom and draw a wavy line at the bottom for sand.

Step 10: Add curved lines inside the trunk for texture. You can stop here if you only want to draw a palm tree.

Step 11: To draw an island, draw a curved line close to the trunk's base. Add wavy lines at the bottom for water.

Step 12: Draw a line to the left of the island for the horizon. Add wavy lines at the bottom for water ripples.

Step 13 (optional): : On the top, left side of the palm tree, draw a circle for the sun. Add a few curved lines that form points around the circle for the sun's rays.

Step 14: Using a pen or marker, carefully draw over the lines to make your palm tree island drawing permanent. After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser.

Final Step: Color your palm tree drawing using colored pencils, markers or crayons! Use yellow and yellow-orange for the sun. Use yellow-green for the fronds and gray for the coconuts. Use brown for the palm tree trunk and light brown for the sand. Use light blue for the water but leave some ripples blank for the white foam. Lightly color the sky light blue. Don't forget to pause the video after each step to draw at your own pace.
