How to Draw Freddy Fazbear
Use the video and step-by-step drawing instructions below to learn how to draw Freddy Fazbear from the Five Nights at Freddy's game. A new cartoon drawing tutorial is uploaded every week, so stay tooned!
Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Start with a small circle in the middle of the page. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s just a guide for the top part of Freddy Fazbear's head.
Step 2: Draw a small arc under the head as a guide for Freddy Fazbear's jaw and chin. The arc should be flat at the bottom, then curve up toward the circle. These combined two shapes make the guide for the head.
Step 3: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the entire head, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the horizontal line a bit so that it contours to the shape of the head. These will be construction lines that will help you place Freddy Fazbear's facial features later on.
Step 4: Draw two small circles as guides for Freddy Fazbear's eyes. Draw them sitting on top of the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical construction line.
Step 5: Draw a small arc on the top left and the top right of the head as guides for Freddy Fazbear's ears.
Step 6: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have the basic Freddy Fazbear shape. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 7: Darken the circles in the head to create Freddy Fazbear's eye sockets (the holes where the mechanical eyes will go). Make the shapes a little flatter at the top.
Step 8: Inside each eye socket, draw a smaller circle for Freddy Fazbear's actual eyeballs. Draw a curved line at the top of each eyeball for the eyelids.
Step 9: Inside each eyeball, draw an even smaller circle for Freddy Fazbear's irises. This circle should be at the top of the eyeball, and the eyelid should be covering it partially. This gives Freddy a more menacing look. Inside each iris, in the middle, draw a dot for the pupils and a tiny circle off to the side to represent glare.
Step 10: Above each eye, draw a thick shape for the eyebrows. The eyebrows should have somewhat of a diagonal orientation that dips down slightly toward the middle of the eyes. This along with the eyes help to give Freddy Fazbear's a subtly malevolent stare.
Step 11: Right on top of where the two construction lines intersect, draw Freddy Fazbear's nose. The nose is round at the top and forms a slight point at the bottom.
Step 12: Draw the top part of the muzzle right below Freddy Fazbear's nose. This shape consists of a line that starts at one side of the nose. The line curves down toward the lower edge of the main circle, then moves back up to the other side of the nose. Add a line in the middle that splits the muzzle and draw a few dots on either side for extra detail.
Step 13: Use the arc under the main circle as a guide to draw Freddy Fazbear's lower jaw. Darken the guide line but make it a bit more round at the ends. Add another line with a similar curve within the shape for the inside portion of the jaw.
Step 14: Freddy Fazbear's head is tilting downward, so only the bottom teeth will be visible. Draw the first two middle teeth as rectangular shapes at the bottom of the jaw.
Step 15: Now add the remaining teeth on either side of the first two. There are three more teeth on each side, and they get smaller the farther back in the jaw they are.
Step 16: Freddy Fazbear's top hat can be a little tricky, so it's divided into three parts. First draw the top most part of the hat as an ellipse or oval shape above the head. The top of the hat is a circle, but an ellipse is used because of perspective.
Step 17: Draw the sides of the hat using a couple of straight lines on the sides and add the bottom part as another curved line.
Step 18: Now draw the brim of Freddy Fazbear's hat below the shape you just drew. The first part is another ellipse that has the top part missing because it's behind the first shape. Then add another line at the bottom that has a similar curve for the bottom edge of the hat's brim.
Step 19: Use the arcs on the sides as guides to draw Freddy Fazbear's ears. The bottom edge of each ear should be flat and outside of the main head shape. The ears are connected to the head with a thinner shape. Draw a shape similar to the ear within the shape of each ear for extra detail.
Step 20: Draw the rest of Freddy Fazbear's head using the remaining lines as guides. Follow the basic path of the guides as you darken the lines but make the top part thinner. The bottom part should bugle out more to form the cheekbones and give the head an almost skull-like appearance.
Step 21: At the bottom of the jaw, draw Freddy Fazbear's bow tie using a series of curved lines. The top part of the bow isn't visible because it's hiding behind the open mouth.
Step 22: That’s it! You now have a nice sketch of Freddy Fazbear from the Five Nights at Freddy's game. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look, or continue to the step below for a more finished look.
Step 23: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then erase all of the pencil marks. You now have a finished inked drawing of Freddy Fazbear! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Freddy drawing in its entirety.
Last Step: For a completely finished Freddy Fazbear drawing, you have to color it. You can use anything you want: markers, color pencils or even crayons! The main part of Freddy's face is brown. The inside of his ears and his muzzle are light brown. The hat, eyebrows, eye sockets, nose, inside of the mouth and bow tie are all black. Color his hair red-brown and the head band red. His eyes are blue. That’s it! You now have a completed drawing of Freddy Fazbear from the game Five Nights at Freddy's.
