The written step-by-step video tutorial:
Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Draw two curved lines next to each other for your mini Cinderella's eyes. Make the lines thick to represent eyelashes. Pay attention to the placement of the lines. Don't draw them too far apart. The shape of the curved lines should be similar to half-circles. Near the outer tip of each eye, draw a couple of spike-like shapes to emphasize the eyelashes.
Step 2: Under each line, draw a small circle for Cinderella's irises. The circle on the left should be close to the right tip of the line. The circle on the right should be closer to the middle of the line. The circle on the right should also be a tiny bit bigger than the one on the left.
Step 3: Inside each iris, near the top, left side, draw a tiny circle to represent glare. In the middle of each iris, draw a big dot for chibi Cinderella's pupils.
Step 4: Above each eye, draw a curved horizontal line as a guide for mini Cinderella's eyebrows. The eyebrow on the right should be a bit longer than the one on the left because of perspective.
Step 5: Near the lower, right side of the eye on the left, draw a small line similar to a less-than sign (<) for Cinderella's nose. Under the nose, near the left side, draw a short, curved horizontal line for the mouth.
Step 6: Draw a long, curved horizontal line above the eyebrow on the right for the front part of the hair. Add another curved line above the eyebrow on the left to complete the front part of mini Cinderella's hair.
Step 7: Draw a short, curved vertical line close to the eye on the right for the side of the hair. Below that, draw another curved line that's similar to a backward letter C for chibi Cinderella's ear.
Step 8: Draw Cinderella's head by first drawing a vertical line next to the eye on the left. Curve the line more to create the cheek and add a small line below the mouth for the lower part of the head. Connect the left side with the line below the mouth using a smooth, curved line. Then connect the line to the ear to finish up the shape of the head.
Step 9: Draw another curved horizontal line above the head for the top part of mini Cinderella's hair. Add a long curved line that starts at the top and ends on the left side of the face.
Step 10: Draw chibi Cinderella's headband by using a couple of curved vertical lines that go from the top to the ear.
Step 11: Add the hair bun by drawing a long line that starts at the headband, then curves to the left. Add another curved line on the left to complete the shape of the bun. Draw a line that goes from Cinderella's bun to the ear for the back of the head.
Step 12: On the lower right side of the head, draw a curved line similar to a tilted letter C for Cinderella's dress sleeve.
Step 13: Inside the sleeve, draw two curved, diagonal lines for mini Cinderella's arm. Finish up the arm by connecting these two lines with a shorter curved line at the top.
Step 14: Add chibi Cinderella's hand at the bottom by first drawing a V-shaped line on the left for the thumb. Draw a line similar to the number 3 on the right for the rest of the hand. Add a line in the arm for Cinderella's glove.
Step 15: Draw a long, curved, vertical line under the head, near the left side, for the top of the body. Draw a curved, horizontal line under Cinderella's head for the dress' collar.
Step 16: Draw a curved line that goes from mini Cinderella's hand to the middle of the body for the puffy part of the dress. Add another curved line at the bottom. The resulting shape should be similar to a flat football.
Step 17: Draw a similar shape on the left side using curved lines but make this side shorter and flatter.
Step 18: On the left side, draw a curved line for the other sleeve and under that, a diagonal line for chibi Cinderella's arm.
Step 19: Draw a line similar to a less-than sign (<) at the bottom for the hand. Add a line in Cinderella's arm for the glove.
Step 20: On either side of chibi Cinderella's body, draw a long, vertical line for the bottom of the dress. Add a couple of curved horizontal lines at the bottom but don't connect them in the middle. Leave a gap.
Step 21: Draw two vertical lines in the middle and connect them with a horizontal line at the bottom to finish the dress.
Step 22: Using a pen or marker, carefully go over the lines to make your drawing permanent. After inking, get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser.
Final Step: Color your mini Cinderella drawing using color pencils, markers or even crayons! Use yellow for the hair and peach for the skin. If you don't have peach, use yellow-orange or light brown. Using the color, draw the bottom edges of the eyes. Leave the inside blank.
To get a gradient effect on the eyes, color the top parts dark blue and the bottom parts light blue. Use light blue for chibi Cinderella's headband and the main part of the dress. The rest of her outfit is light blue too, but don't push down as hard. Remember to pause the video to draw at your own pace.
