Intro: When learning how to draw the Phineas and Ferb character Candace Flynn, start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

 

Step 1: Start by drawing a small half circle with a vertical line to the left of it. The end result should look like the letter P. Don't worry about making it too perfect. It's just a guide for Candace Flynn's head.

 

Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the inside of Candace Flynn's head shape, one vertical and one horizontal. The vertical line should be closer to the right side, while the horizontal line should be near the middle. These are construction lines that will help you when learning how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's facial features later on.

 

Step 3: Draw two small circles as guides for Candace's eyes. Place them on top of the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical construction line. The eye on the right should be a bit smaller because of perspective, and it should be outside of the P shape a little bit.

 

Step 4: Under the horizontal construction line and on the left side of the vertical construction line, draw a shape similar to the letter D on its side as a guide for Candace Flynn's mouth.

 

Step 5: Underneath the letter P that makes up Candace's head, draw a big triangle as a guide for her body. The height of the triangle should be about 1.5 times the height of the P shape.

Step 6: Now learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's arm guides. Draw a line on each side of the body as guides for Candace's arms. The line on the left bends in the middle and moves down toward the bottom of the triangle. The line on the right curves up toward Candace Flynn's head. Draw a small circle at the end of each line as guides for her hands.

 

Step 7: Draw the guide for Candace's legs and feet under the body. The guide consists of a vertical line under the triangle that splits in two at the bottom, and then bends back up to form two small triangles.

 

Step 8: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have learned how to draw the basic shape of the Phineas and Ferb character Candace Flynn. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

 

Step 9: Darken the circles in Candace's head for her eyes. Draw a small circle inside each eye as a guide for her pupils. Inside each, pupil draw an even smaller circle to represent glare. On the top edge of each eye, draw a small line for her eyelashes, and above each eye draw a small, curved line for Candace's eyebrows.

 

Step 10: Now learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's nose and mouth. Draw a small angled line in between Candace's eyes where the construction lines meet for her nose. Use the sideways D shape as a guide to draw her mouth. Inside of the mouth, draw a line on the top for her teeth and a small curved line on the bottom for her tongue.

Step 11: Use the original P shape as a guide to draw Candace's head. Follow the path of the P and draw the line at the bottom wider to create her neck. Leave a gap on the top left corner where her hair will be.

 

Step 12: In the next three steps, learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb characters arms and shirt. Draw Candace's arm on the left using the line and circle as guides. Follow the path of the line and thicken up the shape for her arm. Draw a few curved lines at the bottom of the circle for her curled-up fingers and another curved line on the left for her thumb.

 

Step 13: Use the top part of the big triangle as a guide to draw Candace's shirt. Draw a curved line around the neck for the collar of the shirt. The bottom of the shirt should be near the middle of the triangle.

 

Step 14: Draw the arm on the right side by using the initial line as a guide. Follow the path of the line as you make Candace's arm thicker. Draw a few curved lines at the top of the circle for her fingers and thumb.

 

Step 15: Now learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's hair. Candace Flynn's hair is a bit tricky, so it's divided into two parts. First draw the top and left side of the hair by following the path of her head. The line starts close to the right eye, moves up and to the left, then bends back down toward the left arm and finally curves up a bit to create a small point.

Step 16: Now draw the rest of Candace's hair. Draw curved line on the top left side of the head that goes behind the left eye. Draw a line on the right side that ends in a point similar to the line on the left.

 

Step 17: Use the bottom part of the triangle as a guide to draw Candace Flynn's skirt. Follow the edges of the triangle as you darken the lines and make the line wavier at the bottom. Draw a few rectangles on top of the skirt for her belt.

 

Step 18: Now learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's legs and feet. Draw Candace's feet under the body by using the original lines as guides. Make the top part of the legs thicker as you follow the path of the line. Make the feet at the bottom curve more.

 

Step 19: Draw a few shapes inside the feet to represent Candace's socks and the opening of her shoes.

Her skin is peach, but if you don't have peach, improvise and use pink or light brown. The inside of her mouth and her belt are dark red. Her tongue is pink, and her shirt and socks are red.
