Intro: Start drawing Daffy Duck with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don't press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: To draw Daffy Duck, sketch a big circle. Draw it on the right of the center of the page, close to the edge of the paper. This is the basic shape for Daffy Duck's head.
Step 2: Next draw two intersecting lines across the circle. When drawing the lines, bend them so that they follow the contour shape of a sphere. Draw the horizontal line in the middle, but draw the vertical one slightly to the left of the middle. These will be construction lines that will help you place Daffy Duck's features later on.
Step 3: On left of where the two construction lines intersect, draw an upside-down U. The other end of the U should touch the horizontal line at about the same distance from the construction circle as the other side. This will be the top of this cartoon character's head.
Step 4: Draw an oval that slightly tapers at the top, like the shape of an egg, on top of the horizontal construction line just to the left of the vertical construction line. Draw a slightly bigger oval on the right side of the vertical construction line. These will be Daffy Duck's eyes.
Step 5: Draw a small curve in between this Looney Tunes cartoon character's eyes above the horizontal construction line. Starting at the lower left side of the left eye, draw a C shape that slightly grazes the main circle. Draw bigger backwards C shape that starts on the lower right side of the right eye. This C should also graze the main circle. This will be the top of Daffy Duck's beak.
Step 6: Finish the basic shape of Daffy Duck's beak by adding a wide U shape to the left of the backward C you just created. Draw a candy cane shape that starts just below where the wide U ends. Curve this shape out to the left and have it come back to the small C shape just to the left side of the left eye.
Step 7: Draw an angled line that begins where the bottom of the vertical construction line meets the main circle and another line parallel to this one just to the right. This will be Daffy Duck's neck.
Step 8: That's it for the initial sketch of Daffy Duck from the Looney Tunes cartoons! You have drawn the basic Daffy Duck shape, so now you will go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 9: Tighten the shape of Daffy Duck's beak by following the basic guide. Draw smile lines at each end of his mouth. Curve the top of his beak up and thin out his right cheek. Draw two small lines on top of it to indicate this Looney Tunes cartoon character's nostrils.
Step 10: Darken the ovals that make up Daffy Duck's eyes. Draw in a smaller oval inside each eye, and draw them near the lower right side of the eye. Shade them in. These small ovals will represent Daffy Duck's pupils.
Step 11: Darken in the shape of Daffy Duck's head and draw three small tufts of hair at the very top of his head. Draw two small arcs just above his eyes to create Daffy Duck's eyebrows.
Step 12: Now darken in the lines that make up Daffy Duck's neck. Draw two curved horizontal lines on Daffy Duck's neck to give him the distinct band across his neck to finish your drawing.
Step 13: That's it! You now have a nice sketch of Daffy Duck from Looney Tunes. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.
Step 14: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker and fill in his pupils. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Daffy Duck! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Daffy Duck drawing.
Final Step: For a completely finished Daffy Duck drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Daffy Duck is a simple cartoon character to color. Color his head, eyes and neck black, but leave his neckband white. Also don't color in a small space above his eyebrows so that you can tell he has them. Color Daffy Duck's beak a yellow-orange color. That's it! You now have a completed drawing of Daffy Duck from the Looney Tunes cartoons.
