Intro: When learning how to draw Wendy Corduroy, start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Start by drawing a small circle near the top of the page. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s just a guide for the top part of Wendy’s head. Leave enough room at the bottom for Wendy Corduroy's body.
Step 2: Under the circle, draw a curved line similar to the letter U as a guide for Wendy Corduroy's jaw and chin. These two shapes together from the guide for the head.
Step 3: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the entire head shape, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines a bit so that they contour to the shape of the head. These will be construction lines that will help you when drawing Wendy Corduroy's facial features later on. Under the head shape, draw two small lines as guides for Wendy's neck.
Step 4: Now draw the guides for Wendy Corduroy's eyes. Draw two small circles right above the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical line.
Step 5: Under Wendy Corduroy's neck, draw a circle that's smaller than the first circle as a guide for the top part of the body. Under this circle, draw a rectangle-like shape for the bottom part of Wendy's body. The two shapes combined form the guide for Wendy's torso and should be about as tall as the head and neck combined.
Step 6: Draw a line on either side of the body as guides for Wendy Corduroy's arms. The line on the right should bend up, while the line on the left should point down. Draw a small circle at the end of each line as guides for Wendy's hands.
Step 7: Below Wendy Corduroy's body, draw two long lines as guides for her legs. Then draw a small oval at the end of the each line as a guide for her feet.
Step 8: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have the basic shape of Wendy Corduroy's from Disney Channel's Gravity Falls. Now go in and tighten your drawing. When learning how to draw Wendy Corduroy from this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 9: Start with the base of Wendy Corduroy's hat by drawing a long, curved line across the top part of the head. Then draw a tall, curved line for the front part of the hat. Draw a few tiny lines on the edge of the front part of the hat to make it look old and worn.
Step 10: Now draw the back part of Wendy Corduroy's hat by adding an angled line on the left side of the front part. Draw the floppy ear covers under the back part using a couple of curved lines.
Step 11: Draw the front part of Wendy Corduroy's long hair as a couple of long lines. The line on the right comes over her eye a bit and is shorter than the line on the left. The line on the left is wavier and goes down toward Wendy's torso. Draw a small arc on the left side of this line for the ear. At the bottom of the ear, draw a tiny circle for the earring.
Step 12: Above each eye, draw a small curved line for Wendy Corduroy's eyebrows. Under the eye on the right, draw a small arc similar to an upside-down letter U for the nose. Use the construction lines as guides for placement. Darken the lower part of the head shape to create Wendy Corduroy's jaw and chin.
Step 13: Darken the circles in the head for Wendy Corduroy's eyes, except for the part of the eye on the right that's covered by her hair. Draw a curved line near the middle of each for the eyelids. On the side of the eye on the left, draw a couple of tiny curved lines for the eyelashes. Inside each eye, draw a dot for Wendy's pupils.
Step 14: Under the nose, draw a shape similar to a sideways letter D for Wendy Corduroy's open mouth. Place the mouth on the lower edge of the first circle. Draw a couple of lines inside Wendy Corduroy's mouth for the teeth and tongue.
Step 15: Darken the lines under Wendy Corduroy's head to create the neck. On either side of Wendy's neck, draw a triangle-like shape for the shirt collar. The collar should form a V-shaped line under her neck. In between this shape, draw a curved line for the collar of the undershirt.
Step 16: Use the line on the left as a guide to draw Wendy Corduroy's arm hanging down. Follow the path of the line and make the arm thicker. Draw a couple of curved lines at the tip of the arm for Wendy's fingers. Draw a curved line near the middle of the arm for the shirtsleeve.
Step 17: Draw the arm on the right the same way. Follow the basic path of the guide and thicken up the shape of Wendy Corduroy's arm. Draw Wendy's fingers at the tip and a curved line for the shirtsleeve.
Step 18: Use the shape under Wendy Corduroy's neck as a guide to draw her shirt. Draw the right side of the shirt and the bottom. Then add the lines inside for the grid-like pattern. Add a couple of lines within the shape of the arms for the same grid-like pattern.
Step 19: Draw the leg on the left side by using the initial shapes as guides. Thicken up the shape of Wendy Corduroy's leg by following the path of the guide. When you get to the bottom, draw an oval for the top of the boot, making sure not to draw the part of the boot that goes behind her leg. Draw the rest of the boot by using the initial oval as a guide. Draw the boot's heel on the bottom and a small rectangle at the top for detail.
Step 20: Use the the lines on the right as guides to draw Wendy Corduroy's other leg and boot the same way. Don't forget to add the heel on the bottom of the boot and the rectangle at the top.
Step 21: Finish drawing Wendy Corduroy's hair by first drawing a long curved line around the body. The line starts on the left side under the hat's ear flap and curves down toward the hand. Then the line goes to the right and finally curves back up to the right side of the hat. Add a few jagged edges to the line while drawing it to give Wendy Corduroy's hair a messier look.
Step 22: That’s it! You now have a nice sketch of Wendy Corduroy from Disney Channel's Gravity Falls! You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look, or continue to the step below to go for a more finished look.
Step 23: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then erase all of the pencil marks. You now have a finished inked drawing of Wendy Corduroy! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Wendy drawing in its entirety.
Final Step: For a completely finished Wendy Corduroy drawing, you have to color it. You can use anything you want: markers, color pencils or even crayons! The front and the ear flap of the hat are light brown, and the back of the hat is gray. Wendy Corduroy's hair is a reddish light brown color. Her skin is peach, but if you don't have peach, use yellow-orange. Wendy's shirt is green, and her pants are gray. Her boots are dark brown with a little bit of light brown to represent mud. That’s it! You now have a completed drawing of Wendy Corduroy from Disney Channel's Gravity Falls.
