Intro: Start drawing Ferb with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don't press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

 

Step 1: To draw Ferb, start with a long narrow rectangle in the middle of the page. This will be the basic shape for Ferb's head and body.

 

Step 2: Next, sketch in a vertical line that spits the rectangle in half. Draw a horizontal line just below the middle of the rectangle and draw another at the top of the rectangle. These will be construction lines that will help you place Ferb's features later on.

 

Step 3: Draw in guides for Ferb's arms and legs. Draw his arm guides as two lines on the sides of the lower half of the rectangle and draw his leg guides as two lines on the bottom of the rectangle.

 

Step 4: On the ends of each guide for Ferb's arms, draw small circles. On each circle draw in four small lines. These are basic construction guides for Ferb's hands and fingers. At the end of each leg line draw two small ovals. These will be the feet of this Disney Channel cartoon character.

 

Step 5: That's it for the initial sketch of Ferb from Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb! You have the basic Ferb shape. Now you will go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

Step 6: Start by drawing in Ferb's hair, which looks like a toupee that sits on top of his head. Draw his hair as a series of curved spikes of different sizes. Draw about seven curved spikes for Ferb's hair.

 

Step 7: Add Ferb's nose by drawing a curved line that looks like a wide letter U on its side. Ferb's nose starts slightly inside the main rectangle at the highest horizontal construction line and ends below it.

 

Step 8: Draw the eye on the left first. Place it a bit higher than where the construction lines meet. Draw the right eye bigger than the left and make sure that it is partially blocked by Ferb's nose. Draw a circle inside each of Ferb's eyes for his pupils and a circle within each of those for glare.

 

Step 9: Tighten the shape of Ferb's head by tapering the lines inward toward the second construction line. Draw Ferb's ear on the left side as a C-shaped curve and draw a backward "3" inside it to represent the inside of his ear. Draw Ferb's mouth coming out a little to represent a bit of an overbite.

 

Step 10: To draw Ferb's shirt collar, just darken the horizontal construction line and add a wide W shape beneath it. Draw a circle under the collar for his button.

Step 11: Draw in Ferb's shirtsleeves. These begin under his collar, wrap around the guides for his arms and end slightly inside the rectangle shape.

 

Step 12: Using the guides set earlier, draw in Ferb's arms by fattening up the lines themselves. Make sure to draw his fingers round like little sausages.

 

Step 13: Ferb wears his shorts up high, so draw the top part of them right below his shirt button. Make his torso part a bit skinnier than the original rectangle and draw the leg portion of his shorts so they end about halfway to his feet.

 

Step 14: Under the legs of Ferb's shorts, draw in his cuffs as rectangles with rounded corners. Give Ferb a belt, too, by drawing a series of rectangles near the top of his shorts.

 

Step 15: Tighten the shapes of Ferb's legs by again fattening up the original guides. Inside each of his legs draw two curved horizontal lines for his socks.

Step 16: Finish Ferb off by drawing in his shoes. Draw an extra line at the bottom of each for soles and a curved line in front of each for detail.

 

Step 17: That's it! You now have a nice sketch of Ferb from Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb cartoon. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.

 

Step 18: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. Final Step: For a completely finished Ferb drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color Ferb's skin a light pink or tan color, and color his hair green. His shirt is yellow or cream, and his pants are a violet-purple. Ferb's belt is blue, and his shoes are black. That's it! You now have a completed drawing of Ferb from Phineas and Ferb.
