Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don't press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Start by drawing a circle near the middle of the page. It doesn't have to be perfect. It's just a guide for Ichigo Kurosaki's head.
Step 2: Under the circle draw an angled line that's similar to the letter V with an extra corner on the top left side. This will be Ichigo Kurosaki's jaw/chin.
Step 3: Now draw two lines under Ichigo's head as guide for his neck. His head will be turned a bit, so the line on the left side should be longer than the one on the right.
Step 4: Next draw a curved vertical line from the top of the circle to the bottom corner of the lower shape. Also draw a curved horizontal line across the circle. These are construction lines that will help you place Ichigo Kurosaki's facial features later on.
Step 5: Draw the guides for Ichigo's eyes on top of the horizontal line and on either side of the vertical line. They are basically half circles, and the half circle on the right is a bit smaller because of perspective.
Step 6: On the left side of the circle and below the horizontal construction line, draw a curved line similar to the letter C as a guide for Ichigo Kurosaki's ear.
Step 7: That's it for the initial sketch! You have the basic Ichigo Kurosaki shape. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 8: Darken the top part of Ichigo Kurosaki's eyes and make the lines thicker. Draw a few spiky shapes on the sides of the top line for Ichigo's eyelashes. The bottom part of his eyes is just a small curved line.
Step 9: Inside each eye, draw a circle for Ichigo's iris. Inside each iris, draw a half circle to represent the glare in his eyes. Then draw a smaller circle and shade it in for his pupil.
Step 10: Above each eye draw a thick line that angles inward toward the vertical construction line for Ichigo's eyebrows. Draw a few curved lines near the middle to give him a heroic stare.
Step 11: Use the vertical construction line and the bottom of the circle as guides to draw Ichigo Kurosaki's nose. Draw a long line that starts at the right eyebrow, angles out a bit then ends at the bottom of the circle. On the left side of that line, draw a tiny line to represent Ichigo's nostril.
Step 12: Under Ichigo Kurosaki's nose draw a small horizontal line for his mouth. Notice how most of the line is on the left side of the vertical construction line. You can curl the ends of the line up a little bit to give him a smirk.
Step 13: Use the C-shaped line on the left as a guide to draw Ichigo's ear. Make it angle more at the top and the side. Draw a few lines within the shape to represent the inner structure of Ichigo's ear.
Step 14: Ichigo Kurosaki's hair is a bit tricky, so it's divided into two parts. Draw the front part of his hair with a series of zig-zag lines across his forehead. The spikes on the left side go down below his ear, and the rest stop at about his eyebrows. The top of the spikes go up to about halfway between the horizontal construction line and the top of the circle.
Step 15: Now go around Ichigo's head drawing more spikes that start on the left side of the neck and end on the right side of the main circle near the right eye. Don't draw all the spikes the same size. Alternate between big and small; make it random. Use the image above for further reference.
Step 16: Use the curved line at the bottom to draw the rest of Ichigo Kurosaki's face. Make the line curve inward a bit near the right eye to create Ichigo's cheekbone.
Step 17: Darken the lines under Ichigo's head to create his neck. Draw a couple of lines within the neck to give it more structure.
Step 18: That's it! You now have a nice sketch of Ichigo Kurosaki. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.
Step 19: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Ichigo Kurosaki! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Ichigo drawing.
Final Step: For a completely finished Ichigo Kurosaki drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color his hair and eyebrows yellow-orange and his eyes brown.Ichigo's skin is peach color, but if you don't have peach, improvise and use pink or light brown. Experiment! That's it! You now have a completed drawing of Ichigo Kurosaki from the anime show Bleach.
