Step 16: Draw the hand on the left side of the body using the initial J-shaped line as a guide. Follow the path of the guide as you darken the line and make the shape of the arm thicker. Add a few lines to represent the shirt's cuff. Draw Richard Watterson's hand using a curved line and add a couple of lines within the shape of the hand for the fingers.
Step 17: Use rectangle-like shape as a guide to draw Richard Watterson's body. Darken the lines of the rectangle but make the shape curve out more on the left side for his bottom.
Step 18: Inside the shape of Richard Watterson's body, draw the tie and detail of the pants using a series of curved lines.
Step 19: Draw Richard Watterson's arm and hand on the right side by using the initial line and circle as guides. Follow the path of the line as you make the arm thicker and add a curved line near the middle for the sleeve. Use the circle as a guide to draw the hand and fingers.
Step 20: Use the lines under the body as guides to draw Richard Watterson's legs. Make the shape of the legs thicker and add a line inside each leg for the pant cuffs.
