Step 6: Under Courage's head, draw a circle as a guide for the bottom part of the body. The circle should be about the same size as the head.
Step 7: Draw two curved lines that connect the two main circles to form the rest of Courage's body. The line on the left should be long and curved, and the line on the right should be very small.
Step 8: Under the head, draw two curved lines as guides for Courage's arms. One of the lines is entirely inside the circle, and the other is outside. Below the body, draw two more lines as guides for Courage's legs and feet.
Step 9: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have the basic shape of Cartoon Network's Courage the Cowardly Dog. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.
Step 10: Draw thick, curved shapes on top of Courage's eyes for the eyebrows. Darken the edges of the initial ovals to create the eyes. Draw a small line under each eye to give Courage a worried look. Inside each eye, draw a small oval and shade it in for the pupils. Leave a little bit of it unshaded to represent glare on the eye.
