Use the video and step-by-step drawing instructions below to learn how to draw Peter Griffin from Family Guy. A new drawing tutorial is uploaded every week, so stay tooned!
Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.
Step 1: Start by drawing a big circle. The circle doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s only a guide for Peter Griffin’s head.
Step 2: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the head shape, one vertical and one horizontal. When drawing these lines, bend them slightly so they contour to the shape of the head. These are construction lines that will help you place Peter Griffin’s facial features later on.
Step 3: Right where the construction lines intersect, draw a small circle as a guide for Peter Griffin’s nose.
Step 4: Sitting on top of the horizontal line on either side of the vertical line, draw small circles as guides for Peter Griffin's eyes. The circle on the right is behind the nose, so don’t draw the whole circle.
Step 5: Draw a guide for Peter Griffin's mouth below the horizontal construction line and on the left side of the vertical construction line. The shape is similar to a wide letter U with a line across the top of it that extends to the other side of the vertical construction line.
