Figure Drawing Sessions

This is my figure drawing log:
Drawing is like a sport - you need to be in shape, and that means practice.

I feel I've gone out of shape, so to speak, and I know that I need regular practice if I want to make good animation. So this is my drawing practice log.
I'll update it regularly; and we'll see how things develop.

Where do I find people to draw:

  • On the train
  • Live figure drawing sessions
  • Cafe's
  • Whenever opportunity arises :)

Practice Practice Practice!

Figure Drawing Session - Manga Style Model

Jan 30th, 2019, Drawing session organized by the Israeli Animators Union, Tel Aviv.

We did quick drawings mostly - 30 seconds to 2 minutes, with a few 10 minutes and also 10 seconds.
It was fun, the model was a dancer and she could really hold herself well.

This one was harder for me - the flat angle had me stumped. But I think I got the spirit of it.

Got warmed up here :) I like this page. The samurai sword was a great prop. It gave a strong directionality and focus to the poses.

People on the Train

Jan 23rd, 2019: They're all on their cellphones. No one seems to make eye-contact anymore.

She's not asleep either. She's on her smartphone.
